SPC Bryan Michael Neal


Spc. E4 Bryan Michael Neal, beloved son of Sherrie Neal of Willard and William and Kathryn Neal of Vermilion was called to rest July 23, 2011, in Leesville, La.

Bryan was born Feb. 3, 1989, in Memphis, Tenn. He attended Firelands and Vermilion High schools before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He graduated infantry training at Fort Benning, Ga., and was permanently stationed at Fort Polk, La. Bryan was a member of the 162nd Infantry Brigade, 11 Bravo Company.

Besides his parents, Bryan is survived by his brothers, William Leslie Neal Jr. and Richard Peterson of Willard and by his sister, Alexa Peterson Rodriquez of Texas; and a niece, MacKenzie Grey of Vermilion.

He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Archie and Carolyn Neal of Norwalk; his aunt, Janet Hatcher of Vermilion; and by two uncles, Archie Neal Jr. of Arkansas and Michael Neal of Norwalk; as well as his cousin and lifelong best friend, Stacy Neal of Norwalk and his cousin, Christopher Neal of Canton, Ohio.

Bryan's peaceful disposition and quick wit will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 3. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, with full military honors.
