Hubbard, OhioHONOLULU (AP) The Army has
identified the two soldiers killed when a helicopter
crashed at Wheeler Army Airfield this week, one of which
is from Ohio.
U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii said Friday they were Chief
Warrant Officer Jonathan Bryce Millward, 28, of Chubbuck,
Idaho and Chief Warrant Officer Stanley Blane Hepfner,
29, of Hubbard, Ohio.
Their two-seat OH-58D Kiowa Warrior went down Wednesday
on the landing strip at the central Oahu base.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. The
Army said an investigation team from the Combat Readiness
Center in Fort Rucker, Ala., arrived Friday.
The men were assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 6th Calvary
Regiment, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade.
