Marine Cpl. Shawn Sickels, 22 New Philadelphia NEW PHILADELPHIA Area residents are being invited to pay tribute to Marine Cpl. Shawn Sickels, 22, of New Philadelphia, when his body is escorted home Tuesday after he died less than two weeks before he was to be discharged from active duty. Sickels was found dead Wednesday at 3:07 p.m. in his barracks in Camp Lejeune, N.C.
