I would like to
express the deep appreciation that
the Allen, Putt, and Scheuermann
families have for Ralph Bago and the
rest of the Northern Ohio PGR members
who ventured out during heavy
snowstorms on January 9th and 10th to
stand in honor of my father-in-law,
Norval D. Allen. As a member of the
Patriot Guard, I have always felt
honored to stand the flag line and
honor a fallen Hero and I now know
first-hand what it feels like to be
on the receiving end of a flag line.
I can tell you without a doubt, I
have never been more proud to be a
member of the Patriot Guard Riders.
The quiet strength of
the flag line was commented numerous
times by family and friends. At first
many attending did not know who they
were or why they were there, but
after explaining the mission of the
PGR, I instantly saw pride in their
eyes and a deep appreciation for
those who had left the comfort of
their homes and drove in terrible
weather to stand in honor of a man
they did not know but felt the need
to Honor. Even though my
father-in-law was a humble man, I
know without a doubt that he had a
big smile on his face these last two
days as he looked down at the flag
line that was there for him.
The PGR plaque that
Ralph presented to my wife Jackie
will be proudly displayed on the
mantel right next to the American
flag that was presented to her by the
Marine honor guard.
Thank you for standing
for our American Hero. He will never
be forgotten,
Brian and Jackie Scheuermann
Norman Putt
Glenn & Lori Putt
Doug and Missy Allen
Steve and Connie Allen
