Dear Sir,
I would like to
express my thanks and gratitude for
all of the riders who helped send my
Father BM1 John Meyer Jr. to his
final resting place like a true
American hero. It is so gratifying to
know that his sacrifice is
acknowledged and honored by his
peers. The riders that showed up at
the Paul Vail VFW Post to show their
respects were very gracious to our
family especially to my Mother who
was so moved at the outpouring of
condolences and support from the fine
members of your organization.
I would also like to
thank the many members who took time
to post their condolences on line. My
mother reads these posts daily and
they have helped here greatly. it is
never easy losing someone you love
but with an organization such as the
Patriot Guard it is very comforting
to know someone DOES care.
I am a huge fan of the
Patriot Guard and also a veteran of
the US Navy. I would also like to
thank you for your service to this
country both as a soldier and as a
patriot.
With sincere
gratitude,
Thom Meyer
Son of BM1 John Meyers, 84, West

Hello,
I just want to thank the pgr , for
being there for us when we didn't
know what to do, you are all awesome
people. I know that everything was
last minute, cold and raining, when
you said it was ok for our family to
ride from Milford High to the
cemetery, well that gave us a little
peace. everyone in our family felt
the same peace fall over us when we
were on that highway, and the sun came
out, we all know that our Billy is up
there looking down on all of us and
saying what a nutty family he has,
and now there are other people out
the helping us be a little nutty, we
know he would have approved of all of
it and he would have done the same
thing, I feel terrible that some of
the pgr riders gave up there jackets
and chaps, i wish i could thank each
and every one of you, so here.. Thank
You all, if there is any way I can
make this up to anyone , please let
me know , I guess you can still tell
that the words are still not coming
out right, we are still trying to
wrap this around our heads, but i do
want to thank you all again, always
in my prayers.
Dawn Spencer
P.S. Thank you to all those wives,
and partners who let us have your
seats on the back of those bikes, I
know myself, that is an honor, all in
its self. Thank you again.
